Russ has been an insurance agent for the past eight years and helps customers with Auto, Home, Business, Life, and Health coverage as well as Financial Services. Russ has 8 children who are current or former CentralChristianAcademy students. They are a former foster family and are NewSpring Church members and volunteers. Russ previously taught at USD 261 Haysville, after graduating from Bethany College and Baker University with a Master’s degree in Leadership. He also recently served as the head boys' basketball coach for Bluestem High School in Leon.

When not busy with careers or school, his family loves spending time together camping and traveling. Russ enjoys running, coaching, cooking, and watching sports and movies. His agency has been a proud sponsor of Wichita Littlest Heroes and the Kansas Humane Society, and they are members of the Haysville Chamber of Commerce.
